MICROCEMENT

Seamless Surfaces. Limitless Possibilities.

A refined, seamless surface finish applied by hand to create distinctive walls, floors, bathrooms, kitchens and bespoke interiors.

THE MATERIAL

What is Microcement?

Microcement is a highly versatile, hand-applied decorative surface system that creates a seamless, continuous finish with no grout lines, no joints and no interruption to the eye.

Applied directly over suitable existing and new substrates — including tiles, concrete, plaster and screeds — it eliminates the need for costly removal work and significantly reduces disruption to a project.

The result is a surface of quiet distinction: refined in texture, rich in natural tonal variation, and entirely bespoke. Ideal for walls, floors, bathrooms, kitchens and statement interior features where finish and longevity are equally important.

APPLICATIONS

Where Microcement Works

One surface. Endless applications.

Bathrooms

When installed as part of the correct system, microcement creates a seamless, refined finish for bathroom walls, floors and shower areas, bringing the entire space together without traditional grout lines.

Wet Rooms

Microcement creates a beautifully continuous finish across wet-room walls and floors, reducing grout lines and creating a refined, easy-to-maintain contemporary surface.

Floors

Durable and seamless, microcement floors flow effortlessly between rooms, creating a greater sense of space and continuity. Available in an extensive palette and suitable for use with appropriate underfloor heating systems.

Walls

Applied to feature walls or entire rooms, microcement brings depth, texture and subtle natural variation to vertical surfaces, creating a distinctive handcrafted finish that responds beautifully to changing light.

Kitchens

Microcement can create elegant continuous finishes across kitchen walls, splashbacks and suitable work surfaces, bringing texture, character and a considered architectural quality to the heart of the home.

Bespoke Features

From fireplace surrounds and furniture to bespoke architectural details, microcement can transform individual features into distinctive focal points, bringing cohesion, texture and understated luxury to an interior.

FINISHES & COLOURS

A Surface Made to Order.

Every application is mixed and applied by hand, allowing for an extraordinary range of tonal depth, texture and character. No two surfaces are ever identical.

Colour

Available in an extensive palette of over 60 tones — from pale limestone and warm sand through to deep charcoal and near-black. Custom colour matching is available on request.

Texture

The texture of a microcement surface is determined by the aggregate size of the product used and the technique of application. From ultra-smooth and polished to subtly raked and tactile — the choice is yours.

Finish

Sealed with a high-performance topcoat, microcement surfaces can be finished matt, satin or gloss. The sealer protects the surface, enhances depth of colour and determines the final sheen level.

Variation

The hand-applied nature of microcement means each surface carries its own subtle marks of making — slight tonal shifts, gentle tool traces and natural variation that give the material its distinctive, living quality.

THE PROCESS

How a Surface is Made.

Each project follows a considered sequence of preparation, application and protection — carried out entirely by hand, with care taken at every stage.

01

Consultation & Design

We begin with a conversation about your project — the space, the substrate, the desired finish and the timeline. Samples are provided so you can see and feel the material before committing.

02

Substrate Assessment

Before any application begins, the existing surface is assessed for suitability. Any remedial work required — levelling, priming or reinforcing — is carried out to ensure a stable, long-lasting foundation.

03

Base Coat Application

A primer is applied to the prepared substrate, followed by the first microcement base coat. This layer establishes the bond and begins to build the depth of the finished surface.

04

Finish Coat & Refinement

The finish coat is applied by hand in thin, considered layers. This is where texture, tone and character are developed — each pass of the trowel contributing to the final surface.

05

Sealing & Protection

Once the surface has cured, it is sealed with a high-performance topcoat. The sealer protects against moisture, staining and wear, and determines the final sheen level of the finished surface.
